Currently I have 2 laptops loaded with the same files. I have an external hard drive. I currently load the number 1 machine with songs exclusively, copy them to the external drive and then copy/overwrite them to the second laptop from the external. That way I figure if my external drive or either machine goes down, its no big deal.

With my current problem, I think it may be easier to add the 50+ discs to the second machine, delete all KMA files from the number 1 machine and then copy files from the external to it. Does this sound reasonable? Will I need to use the “rebuild database” command after I have transferred new files? I see that in the manual but I have transferred once and it worked without that command.
