It is transported very carefully, inside a large plastic box with a lid - it is always transported upright, very carefully wrapped in heavy foam. The container has never been dropped or bumped or anything; we've been so very careful with this thing that I'd be hard pressed to say that it received such a jolt that something broke. I've been looking for a reason to switch to laptop, though, and this might be a it. Much less to carry and set up than the system we have now, though the large monitor is such a eye saver without heavy lighting.
