Have you tried to "Restore" your Computer to the time before you starting having problems (when Hoster worked good for you)
Sometimes, when all else fails
, that will get you going again. I must confess that I have not read in detail what the problem was with your hard drive. So, I'm not sure if this will work for you, but it may be worth a try.
