There is one difference in the two drives, the DJ drive is NTFS and the Karaoke drive is Fat32. If you have any insight I would love to hear it.

You need to convert that FAT32 drive to NTFS. I don't think this is related to your intermitant problem but is definately a security risk, not to mention that NTFS reads the disk faster than FAT32.
To do this click on START/RUN and type in "cmd" and hit Enter. When the window opens type "
convert drive_letter:
/fs:ntfs " replacing "drive_letter with whatever the drive you are converting is (ie. D:, E:, F:, etc.) This will convert it without losing any data.
