VDJ is a highly specialized program designed specifically for the use of video-file playing and mixing, but doesn't offer many necessary features for karaoke hosting. It has a special config box for assigning codecs to specific video types; it also has a VDJ default video player that includes a number of specialty (hard to find) codecs that
will decode a number of video files that a lot of other programs cannot. It took VDJ many upgrades and revisions to get to this point. (flv, m4p, etc.)

I believe Hoster, at this time, does play the most commonly used videos at this time.
