Oh, wow. I use VDJ5.2 and Hoster 4.04 at present on a shuttle 2 gB ram, 256 mB dedicated video card.
All I have ever had to do is deactivate the video in VDJ before playing a Hoster song. As you know then, the easiest ways to deactivate the video is by config video and unclick activate video in VDJ. Or on some skins there is a video tab that'll do this, or turning on "hotkey shortcuts" (which I never do) and use ctrl-V.
Are you saying that control-V, or deactivate video in the VDJ congig video box does not work with Hoster 4.05?

Although, the only exception to the above is when I use the new "SBDJ's" slideshow, at random times the deactivate video does not work.
I wonder if I try your little scheme if it will work with that slideshow.
I just read Stefan's first quote that initiated this thread and he states that he uses H4.05 and VDJ5.2 and he has NO problem as long as he deactivates the video in VDJ's config video screen, which is only three clicks total with the mouse.
