If I read the Manual correctly, I understand it to say that if you "edit using Access", that when you Re-build, it will NOT save your changes (I believe I read that in 3.321; not sure about 4.03)

That's right, MTU had to start using password protection, I'm still old school, sorry.
Numbered? You know how Microsoft is, that would be too easy.
In my version as I scroll down the page a pop up window tells me which one is at the top of the page. From there I use the record buttons in the bottom left of the list to zero in on it.
I just learned this trying to get you going. I edit my databse through Hoster so I'm not real good with access.
