I did'nt know that selecting "BookID" or "Brand" would actually add the song to the Playlist.

Selecting "BookID" or "Brand" is how you look up songs, besides using "Search".
If
you only used the "Search" feature, then you won't miss anything. But many customers just give me the BOOK ID#. So, when you click on BOOK ID, you just Type in the number, the song comes up in the list & then you click ADD. That's the way it has always worked for years!
