Are you referring to the times? If so it does not change until the end of the current playing song. It is there as an estimate not to countdown while a song is playing.
Auto will not start until you hit play for the first song after setting it, then depending on the number of seconds you have set for it in the tools menu you should see the status of the next song change to WAIT and then to CUE.
