At this point as long as 3.4 is working stick with it until 4.03 comes out. It is in Beta testing right now and a lot of the other problems have been fixed already. The Lyrics display is going back to using the original (same as 3.4) rendering code and getting away from WMP and Internet Explorer as this was/is not working right.
I know you said you have done all the recommended upgrades, but you also need to go in and do the Custom Updates from Microsoft. There may be some that you have missed that is causing your display to not show in 4.02.
