What I use to do is through access fix all these problems in no time at all do a global check of all my listing save them and copy database back to Hoster folder and then every listing would show up orderly on my search tables In Hoster 4.1 and before.
And when you rebuild the database ALL of the changes you made through Access are going to be gone because the information in the KMA Header is still the incorrect data. That includes the DiscIDs you correct that way. No the edit tool cannot fix DiscIDs, Track Numbers or BookIDs because these are indexing keys. To fix/change any of those you have to delete the disc through edit and then re-import. Yes this is a pain, which means you need to be absolutely sure of having the correct information in place before you import.

Now I Have a problem with Hoster 4.1 after reinstalling and rebuilding my song database.

I went to fix the mess through access like I did before copy database back to Hoster folder.

Start up Hoster program and it just starts to rebuild my song files again before it starts the program leaving me with the mess again.
My guess on this is you were editing and saving back to the C:\Program Files\Micro Technology Unlimited\Hoster\Databases or you saved it in the wrong format (should be Access 97).

It's behaving like 4.2 although I replaced the song folder with my original backup song files.
Best advice I can offer is this. Uninstall Hoster, delete the contents of C:\MTU\Hoster and C:\Program Files\Micro Technology Unlimited\Hoster. If you bought the Upgrade then re-install your previous version then re-install 4.01. That will clean out any gremlins. It will again rebuild the database but you have already lost all of your changes from Access anyway.

Joe...
Joe Admin was not telling you they weren't looking at trying to fix your main problem. None of the problems posted about 4.02 in the forums have gone unnoticed and shoved under the rug. You may think so because they haven't come back immediately with an answer. Nor have done that for any of the other problems posted. We (Jim, Sam and others) try to help find out if it is a problem only with your computer, be it software or hardware. At the same time MTU's people are looking at Hoster to see if they can find and fix any bug that can be causing this. This takes time because of the size and complexity of the program.
MTU has already announced in the forums that they are going to go back to the old lyrics portion of the program to stop having to interface with WMP and IE for that. This has to be tested by them and then Beta tested and when it all works will be released.
