We are removing our use of WMP and IE for Lyrics. We expect to use it for the Marquee and Singers Names Display, but for Lyrics it's gone. It was blocking our getting events back that we must have for sync to music, and sync'ing the Preview and Show Displays.
We understand you need to get updated/new Video Codecs to play MP4/DVIX video files in the newer WMP11. There are some sites you can download them from, sorry I'm not into them right now. Maybe someone else can post them here.
It's always interesting to see that EVERY problem seems to be attributed to MTU always when a new release comes out. Change... is inevitable to have new features. Problems are also inevitable. However, we are now working intelligently from the past weeks of 4.01/4.02 shipping to remove all the problems we can. Some are under our control, and we will isolate you from Microsoft far more than we were. That's under our control, and it is happening this week.
