When i select my external drive in hoster my songs will not play, this is now suggesting to me that i have not backed them up correctly, am i right in thinking this, or perhaps i am not selecting my external drive in the right manner,i now certainly agree that it would be much wiser to play from my external, does this mean i need to import to the external drive to enable playing from that drive, & copying them to the c:drive. or do i not need to have them on my C:drive at all. I do have a very big C:drive & was not concered about the space, but will be fatel if i cannot play them from my external drive if need be.
I will await your reply,
Thankyou

You can play them from either location, but not instantly. If you want to play them from the C: drive then put the location (C:\MTU\KMA Files as example) in the Rebuild Database window and delete anything else in there. Then rebuild the database. If you want to play them from the External you have to repeat that process but put in the external drive location (F:\KMA Files again just an example) and rebuild the database.
As stated above you can not have both locations in the database at the same time because Hoster will see them as duplicates and reject half of them.
