There is no Server 2002, there is a server 2003, but you shouldn't be running a server os on a laptop.
Windows 2000 desktop, would have some problems with partitioning and Disk drive size limitations. but that should not be causing the problems mentioned.
Hoster 3.21 will work with W2K workstations
, but you will need to load service pack 4 if you don't have an alternative, like Windows XP SP2. SP4 addressed many of the limitations with memory, but mostly security vulnerabilities and such.
