This is not a Vista problem. The problem is those files have gotten corrupted. There was a problem a while back that if the Title or Artist was too long that Hoster was supposed to truncate but was deleting instead. This would not show up until you rebuild. I had about 10 or ao that did this. To have had 300 of them you would have had to click to tell it to go on 300 times.
Check the first few in the log and see if they are in the database and correct. If so then those filles that errored are not listed in that log as this is the duplicate ID log.
If this is correct and I think it is (been a while since this happened to me) you will need to run the rebuild again and note which records (number) error. Then you will need to open the songs.mdb file in Access and open the table. The records in there will be sorted in record number which will put all the entries for a disc together. Scroll down to find the first number in your list (or actually not find it) and check the associated information for the records around it andyou should be able to tell which track is missing. Write it down and go on to the next. After you have them all listed go back and re-import those tracks. There is no way to recover them or correct the header in the file so press on.
