Might try opening and shutting it a few times in succession. It may either straighten out or break down. Might also try blasting it with a short burst or two of compressed air in the offshoot possibility some foreign matter got in the works. If in warranty, check closely to make certain that using compressed air won't somehow provide the manufacturer a loophold around the warranty. Ya never know, these days.
I believe I'd be contacting the supplier right pronto for an exchange if it is in the warranty period.
