My suggestion is to Back Up everything, if you haven't already (database, playlist files, logs). Then set a "Restore Date" from within System Tools. Install the new version, test it out & if you're not comfortable enough to use it at your next show, then simply "Restore" your computer to the time
before installing the new version.
That's what I plan to do!!!
It is a little more complicated than that, but it can be done.
