I use a DJ only (MP3 player) program called SAM Party DJ. It does not conflict with Hoster (
) and it will fade from song to song leaving no dead air.
I only use Windows Media Player to run non-karaoke discs that folks sing over (very few).

Note: I don't run MP3's during my show so there is no need for me to do a search in Hoster while an MP3 is plaing but I feel confident that SAM would not skip if this was done. Get the demo and try it out.
