this is just getting ridiculous. I went over to the offices at MTU and Doug was kind enough to spend some time with me. We figured out that the actually cdr itself was damaged. He hooked up an external disc to my computer and it imported cdg's just fine.

So I went to replace the cdr in my laptop to learn that it has a proprietary interface and I'll have to hunt that particular one down. Well I don't have time for that so I bought an external dvd/cdr that I'm told reads CDG.

I bring it home and hook it up, it will play cd's on windows media player just fine. I go to hoster to import from cdg thinking everything is just fine.

First i get an error message that says IO error INFO II failed with error 0x45d... I press ok and another message reads cd/dvd drive not ready insert a disc and try again.

Any ideas? and btw a big thanks to doug for his helpfullness and time.
