I think your misreading the specs on this unit. It doesn't support USB Hard drives. It will read from Memory Cards (Flash Drives), IPod,and MP3/MP4 players. USB hard drives do not work the same as those units do.
If you want to stop carrying all those discs around then Hoster is the right product. All you need is a computer or laptop (read the minimum requirements on MTU website), your existing sound system, and Hoster. Many people use laptops for the size. I prefer a Shuttle size desktop. And if possible use XP for less problems. You won't be disappointed.
