karen i know its a long experience to import, but all the time you spent trying to fix the problem, you could have re-imported all your files.
i would get an XP machine and re-import. once you are up and running you will look back and say thank *** i stuck with it. lugging those cd's around sucked!
ive been using since 2001 and have never had a problem other than a few audio issues that were fixed promply.
