CD-RW drive quit working

Staurday night before my show, I tried to import a new CD I had purchased and realized that my CD-RW drive had gone bad. Luckily I still had my old CD player in my rack, so I did not disappoint the singer I had promised the song to. Here are my questions:

I purchased the Hoster PC120 portable pc with the Peltor CD-RW drive back in Aug. of '04. If I replace the drive, can I use any brand? I think I heard that if I upgrade to the newest Hoster version, I can use any brand. In any case, I will still want to upgrade.

Administrator, can you please send me a new link so I can do this? I believe the last link I received has expired.

My other question is I have purchased an external hard drive to dump my song files on. I know, I should have done this long ago. In any case, can I also add a copy of Hoster to my home pc so that I can import my CD's to my external drive and then copy them to my karaoke pc? I may choose to do this rather than replace the drive on my portable pc. I think I am allowed to use 2 copies of the Hoster software for this purpose. I have the new Vista operating system. Is the software compatible with this and any new hardware that the pc contains (it is a brand new desk top)? I don't have the component specs at his time, but they should all be very common. It is an HP computer.

Administrator, can you please check to see if I can do this and if I need an additional link for this purpose?

Finally, I also have Micro Studio 2.609 installed on my portable pc. I have not upgraded it since my purchase. Obviously. it will not work unless I replace the CD-RW drive. Am I also allowed a copy of this software to place onto my home pc and is everything compatible?

Admistrator, can you also look into this for me?

Thank you for your assistance and I look forward to enjoying your awesome product for years to come.
