there is another possibility. On the lyrics page there is an "advance sweep" box. The default is supposed to be 0.2 sec. Perhaps this is not set right. If it is on 0.2 sec. then maybe it is not the right setting for your system.You might try backing off on this setting to get it in sync, especially if your margin of error is consistant. Hope this does it. I think I'd also leave it on 16bit to avert any other sweep problems that may be caused by another setting.
