Windows will "clean up" your Desktop from time to time "for you", removing old, unused Icons. I've had it do mine several times. It's very disconcerting when it happens. Makes you think... what the heck happened? Is my computer dying?
The problem with the first 3.318 was strictly involved with our security in the code, and the web script it talks to. 3.318 was an after-thought. All the fixes were already done in Hoster 4.000 Beta X. Thus, we created a "downgraded version from 4.000. That's where the conflict came in.
If anyone knows how to disable Windows doing this auto-cleanup, please post it here!
I hate their "housekeeping" my computer. Yes, I know there is a do you want to do it approval, but in all cases I have experienced, I wasn't paying attention and didn't expect their dialog and had already queued up an "Enter" key press that this dialog accepted... or something else, including pilot error on my part.
