Thanks, DD. The link worked fine and I bookmarked it also for future ref. To my knowledge these updates have not been applied.... most likely not.
The laptop in question belongs to my best friend and sorta still business partner. We backstop each other on overbooks and overflow karaoke and d/j jobs. He's really busy with his day job and a couple regular weekly gigs. I'm retired so I have all the time, etc. Had to give the 'puter back for him to do a show tonight. Will get it back asap and commence to do these Toshiba updates, as well as try the 'fix' from Bob Cox.
Will let you guys know how it turns out asap.
