The only thing that could cause this, is the Video drivers for the GFORCE 7300. You should try updating these, or maybe they have hidden issues or bugs in Windows Vista. I know that in our laptops we are currently using the GEFORCE 8400 To go. It workes fine, but this is also under Windows Vista.
This is where I would start since you have Vista.
