Found the Answer to solve the problem with Vista install.
I did a search of HELP for another problem that suggested turning off security in the User Accounts. I fully expected then to have to start over to make everything work.
To my AMAZEMENT, after changng User Accounts I simply restarted Vista. Then when I clicked on Hoster to simply open the program, it immediately starting Re-building the database. Having already done that yesterday & all songs played fine, I couldn't imagine why it was doing that. When it finished, Hoster finished opening up like normal. I couldn't see any difference, so I turned it off and looked in the ....\programfiles\Hoster "folder" and LO AND BEHOLD, there were ALL the missing files that were not there before, including the "BuildSongsDBLog,txt" that did not exist before.
I copied a .HST file from my old laptop and was also DELIGHTED that Hoster had no trouble finding the song to play from the Playlist that was created on my old laptop.
THANK YOU MTU & EVERYONE FOR YOUR HELP!
