First the KMA format is a compression format that has a much better, truer quality of sound than MP3.
However, as I understand it, since MP3+G zipped files are already compressed, when you import them into Hoster the audio is not recompressed, just renamed to .KMA. Please note though that Hoster cannot work with max compressed zip files. If your files are compressed with that campression you will have to uncompress and recompress them at a normal level.
When you convert them Hoster creates copies and does not do any thing to the originals, so you will need to have enough drive space to duplicate the files.
