Are you sure you didn't buy Hoster + Karaoke Suite and then the upgrade for those? Hoster has not been in the $300-$400 for at least 4 years.
Price not withstanding go to the Support Center, register (yes it requires a separate registration which is to pick a name and password which can be the same as used in forums), and submit a support ticket. They will answer that. MTU has constantly stated not to send emails because they either don't get through or get missed in the massive amounts of email they get.
Have you ever tried to reinstall after getting the registration not matching error? If you do have the Karaoke Suite and installed Microstudio last then there was a know bug that it would cause this error for all the other MTU programs if it was installed last. Work around was at that time to install it first.
Even with the upgrade install you should be using the original registration code.
