Using Tools menu, Build Songs Database command is safe. The original data is stored in the header of each KMA file. Unless these are damaged, the data is always available. Building the Databas again simply reads the KMA headers and uses the data found there.
If KMA files are being damaged, it is NOT a released version of Hoster doing it. In that case, your computer is damaged, OR... you have bad memory that is causing Hoster's code to malfunction when running in that bad RAM.
