I'm not sure why you would have needed to rebuild the database when upgrading, unless it was a good sized jump (from 2.xx to 3.313 for instance) but that is pure speculation.

Soon after I finished importing all my cdgs 3+ years ago I came across 3 corrupt kma's that required reimporting. I don't recall how they appeared, just that I found all of them at the same time. I deleted and reimported them and haven't seen another one since.

You said you'd never had a problem untill you rebuilt your database. Had you played those songs before? I'm just thinking that they may have been there this whole time and you didn't discover it because you had never rebuilt your database.

Building the database does nothing to your KMA's, it only reads the information. Much like if you open a folder and look at the names of the files without actually opening a file.

Rebuilding the database won't cause any harm. As a beta tester I've deleted and rebuilt mine a bazillion times (slight exageration ) .
