I see. But what gets me is that I have used another computer on these same jacks, wires, and mixer and get a perfect connection all the time. Also, I have an identical brand new mixer of the same model and the problem exists on that one too.
What's really strange is that it clears up fine when I momentarily pull out and reinsert the jack at the laptop end (1/8" mini). But then after several minutes the problem returns. Added to the fact that it works great all the time with the rca inputs.
