Yes, something like the DAZZLE video recorder/editor is your best bet.

You still have to watch the entire video for each song, but it will allow you to create a VCD of the LaserDisc, and I believe most Karaoke players handle vcds now.. I know all of ours do, we use the panasonic 3 disc players.

It should say right on the player if it supports vcd. The cool thing about that:

No more lugging around the big LaserDiscs.. and you will (most likely) have songs with video behind the lyrics.

On a similar note.. you could encode a song with KHPro using the transparent background color, (That option is still there right?) and play that back on your Karaoke player that allows inserting video to the background. You could make your own 'video karaoke' by playing this all into the dazzle, then making a vcd of that.. OR also very cool, run a cam-corder at your karaoke show, and put the live video of the person singing behind the lyrics of the song they're singing!
