Bryan if the drive in question contains program files (ie. C

then you should use Norton Ghost to "image" the drive. This gives you a way to instantly restore in case of a crash or as George said a virus attack. Problematic side of that is you must "back-up" often, but is well worth the time and money. The first time your system crashes Norton Ghost will pay for it self in saved time.
If the drive only contains data files such as your kma files, then copying them to another drive will work just as well. The only thing you gain by imaging data files is some compression (less space) on secondary drive.
