At the end of every work session, say creating new CDG's with KHP, I always copy and paste the new files into the proper folder of my back-up drive.

The same with any deletions, I delete them from the back-updrive as I go along.

This saves a lot of cloning back and forth, and in the event of a lost drive, both drives are fully functional and up to date.

I caught a virus on my c: a couple of weeks ago, immediately cloned d: to c: and was clean again with no hassle. The program wipes the target hard drive clean as it makes the transfer.

I wouldn't be without Norton Ghost. As Beavis mentioned it also replaces Windows, which simply copying one drive to another won't do.

One thing to consider if you go that route, Seagate, an old well respected drive mfgr, is currently offering a 5 yr. warranty on their inboard drives, vs. a standard 1 yr. warranty on USB's. Portability is not a factor with me.
