If you have something like a dazzle Video editor unit and software you can hook your lazer player to your computer and copy from there. Most CD writers will burn VCD format dsics. My HP8100 does. to play these files on your Karaoke system, assuming you are still using a player and haven't converted to the computer, you need a DVD/VCD/CDG player or a VCD/CDG player- Pioneer makes a 555 unit that plays DVD/VCD/CDG/CD formats. RSQ and CAVS now make a DVD that will play the new MEdia CLoq discs as well as DVD/VCD/CDG/CD/MP3 formats.
JVC, RSQ, and VOco pro make VCD/CDG/CD units. out of al the units VOCOPRO is the cheapest but you get what you pay for.
one downfall of these players is that the load time can tke forever as the computer brain inside these players have to figure out wht format they are playing before allowing you any access to selecting what track ou are using.
