I am not sure what else to tell you to try. Was Microstudio working on this same computer, Hardware combination before?
The only things the player use are the DirectX, Video Card drivers, Audio Card drivers and the OS file system. If you are trying to play form a CD directly from the drive, then it also will use the ASPI drivers.
I guess I really need to know if it worked at one point on this computer.
