First I'd try doing a system restore to a time when all was working prior to installing Roxio.

Then make certain all available Microsoft Service packs for your Windows 2000 are installed.

Also make certain you are running DIRECTX 9.0 or higher. This is also a free download from Microsoft.

Don't know which version of Roxio Easy CD Creator you have, but version 5.0 contains a product called "TAKE TWO" which was problematic all over the lot, and Roxio dropped it from Version 6.0. At one time they offerred a free upgrade to 6.0 for 5.0 users because of this problem. Don't know if this is still in effect or not, kinda doubt it as it was a while back this all took place.
