Look up "VCD Recorder" on the web
There is a machine that claims to be able to record the analog out from a video source (e.g. laserdisc) and convert it to MPEG-1 video in real-time (meaning you have to actually watch every video of every song)

I won't mention the name in respect to MTU, but happened across the info when a friend asked me about the same topic.
