Hosting Small Parties with Microstudio

Hi Ya'll:
I'm interested in downloading all my karaoke disks to my hard drive and then using some sort of software to play the songs. We are not professional KJ's. We only do karoake for home use and the occasional personal party. I want to start using my laptop computer with external hard drive so that I don't have to mess with disks anymore. There is a small restaurant that does karaoke once every two weeks and they use Microstudio as their hosting software. They have all the songs on their hard drive and they use Microstudio to create play lists of requested songs so there is little to no delay between songs. It seems to work out well for them.

What are the draw backs to using Microstudio as hosting software?

Thanks,
Rose
