I bought a 15" sharp hi def monitor, I was planning on using like you, However, I picked it up between the thumb and forefinger, and the screen cracked. Beware, the LCD screen is fragile. I am thinking of making a floor monitor type (triangular) box, and mounting a lcd monitor in it. it would appear as a speaker, and kinda look kool. also add a little protection to the flatscreen.
