NO, Hoster does not adjust balance between speakers, nor does it supply echo/reverb. It is not an amplifier.

If you want all those features, then either forget Hoster/Hoster Lite and buy a good standalone Karaoke player, and continue to play directly off discs, or invest in a Karaoke player/mixer, Hoster/Hoster Lite, and play from the pc, using your present amp.

The difference between Hoster and Hoster Lite is there is no songbook capability with Hoster Lite.

Is Hoster or Hoster Lite for you? Only you can answer that. Do you want to shuffle through discs when entertaining, use a large(400 capacity) carousel disc player to avoid disc shuffling, or do it from the computer? Answer that question, and you'll have your answer. Either way, there probably will be additional costs to support your decision.
