MTU is aware of the increasing lack of availability of floppy drives. Installing a pc without internet connection requires two burns, which you can't do on cd's. That's the reason floppies were chosen. I don't know what MTU's solution to the problem will be at this point.

As far as re-installing after a format, you should have no problem.

You might want to consider one day in buying a program like Norton Ghost, adding a USB hard drive, and cloning your main hard drive, as a back-up. Well worth the money.
