I've been using a laptop ever since I bought Hoster a little over a year ago - had to have both an external hard drive (I have video files which take up a lot of space) and disk drive (for customers with their own disks). I bought a Shuttle as a backup system, and once I got it configured, I ended up using it as my primary (and saving the laptop for my backup). It's actually easier setup and teardown since everything is in one little box. Yes, you have to have a keyboard and mouse, but I was using a wireless mouse and a USB 10-key pad with the laptop anyway. I'm using a 15" LCD monitor - it's really light, takes up hardly any room, and I found a bag that everything fits in easily.
