Moved to the Hoster Help forum where you will get some answers.

I'd say this:

1. The Portable PC has the DVDR drive inside, while the USB DVDR we ship with the Laptop is external. Also, we add larger hard drives inside the Portable PC, while the Laptop comes with smaller internal drives that are slower. The Laptop may reqire an external hard drive to store your KMA file library if it is large.

2. Laptop has the LCD display built in while the Portable requires an external monitor.

3. Portable PC will run cooler and is less susceptable to overheating. Some laptops have been reported overheating when the air intake on the bottom is blockek. You should expect it to have a problem when you starve it for cooling air. However, the Portable PC is LESS susceptable to blocked air intakes.
