Of course it's nice to see what is being considered for future releases. That is whay they have a wish list area. To me, it's like saying to someone "I'll meet you at 7:30" then not turning up until 9:30 because you decided the shoes you had on did not feel right. It's bad manners. As professional DJ's if we made promises even half baked ones to our customers......

I totally agree, do not put the product out before it's ready, no one wants that. But don't say it will be out by X when it won't. And the 15th April is not the first date posted for the release of this update remember.
You are mistaken. We DO NOT say when "it will be out".

Our News page clearly states WISH? for our current best estimate.

Software development companies preannounce their products. It is a way of life. It lets users know "We have heard you". Look at Microsoft.......

I'm surprised you'd compare software PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT to a SERVICE such as DJ/KJ. If you look at our sales side, which is a "service" function, we deliver when we say.

Consider this example... If you were to dream up a totally new way to provide music to users in a group environment, and you said you could have it all worked out and duplicatable within 2 months, then someone says to you "Will you be able to handle this, and what about that"... you can accomodate or ignore them... now or later. Of course, if you don't enjoy product development with all its stresses and unknowns, then you would never entertain MODIFYING your dream, and eventually someone else would improve on your idea and... you're out of business if you were selling your idea.

When we "open the code" to create a new release, we CAN add some "this and that" features. If you have followed us very long, you know we are EXTREMELY responsive to our users. Some things take longer than others and sometimes you are well into it before you know which it will be.

In the case of Hoster 3.10x, our talented and capable Beta Testers kept drilling us to change a MAJOR function that was already coded and working. They wanted us to dream up a new way to make it easier to use. I kept saying... NO... No... no... finally YES. That cost us another 2 weeks, decided the week before April 15th when we were close to release. The product will now be easier to use as a result.

That's comparing software DEVELOPMENT with DJ Development.
