I think this is unacceptable. Even if the cause is a scratched or dirty disc, it SHOULD NOT cause Hoster to crash. I have had this happen to me numerous times and each time the program crashes while a patron is singing.
MTU Admin, please try to do something about this problem.
This is such a problem for me that I may stop using Hoster for my karaoke events. It's a shame because the rest of the program works so well. However, I can not run a show in which the program crashes on a regular basis.

I concur that any crash is unacceptable. The problem here is that some are NOT expericing the crash as you are. Thus, it appears to be "system dependent", versus a hard bug in Hoster.
This is VERY DIFFICULT to track down.
Until we can re-create the crash, we probably can't solve the problem. We will take a look at what is reported here and see if we see anything wrong in the code.
I have made this Thread "sticky" so it remains visible at the top of the Threads in this Forum. I'll change the Thread title to "ask" for more feedback... either having or not having the problem. Obviously we are looking for those who HAVE the problem. It may be Windows OS version dependent.
Post as much as you can about what is happening to help us diagnose the problem.
What version of Windows are you running? Windows 2000 or XP?
What Service Release version has your Windows been upgraded to? 2000 SR4? XP Home/Pro SR2?
What type of file you are playing when adding a CDG track from a Singers's disc will crash Hoster? Does it matter?
What version of Direct-X is installed (check it in Control Panel - System dialog?
