Couldn't have said it better myself. What you have posted is absolutely correct, and a design feature we had not revealed yet. You can start with one .wav file, place the lyrics to it, and then open a different .wav file of the identical length before exporting the finished cdg song. One way to get the identical length file is to use Vogone I or KeyRite on the original and create a new processed file. The audio sample values are changed, but the QUANTITY remains identical; i.e. the same length file.
Initially, MTU intended to embed Vogone I and KeyRite into Microstudio and/or Karaoke Home Producer. However, the difficulties of developing and polishing each made it impossible to integrate at this time. Somewhere in the future, maybe, for those who own all three.
