Re: First Time User......Frustrated. Pls Help!

Microstudio will not process Mp3 files, so a CDG compliant burner will not help there.
As flipper said a cdg compliant burner should take care of the problem where cdg files are concerned, as long as they are true cd+g files that are on a commercial cdg disc, and not something of an unknown nature that has been downloaded off the internet.
Regarding burners, MTU bench tests all the burners they sell and certify them as cdg compliant. They send the rejects back. Although a burner may be on the list of burners that SHOULD work, does not necessarily mean that every one WILL work, so don't go blaming MTU if you buy a burner elsewhere and it won't work.
The only recourse you may have with any other vendor is to insist at the point of sale that if the burner won't process CDG, you want to be able to return it. That's how I kept from eating an Acer that was advertised to work with Karaoke(a broad term), but would not process CDG. They supported VCD, but did not specify so in their advertising...They wouldn't make it good, but the vendor had to as we'd had a clear understanding at the point of sale...I'd specified CDG, not just Karaoke...Be careful.
