Exclamation First Time User......Frustrated. Pls Help!

I am a first time user (newbie) to MTU MicroStudio. I have managed to learn how to get my files saved on my hard drive. (I have .cdg files and .mp3 files) However, I can't figure out how to make them play on my computer.
I went through the manual, and imported all of the files to a songlist. When I click the "play" the screen appears to come up, but all of the graphics run really fast and distorted and it makes a REALLY annoying buzzing sound. I don't have any audio at all.
Maybe I have been working on this too long, and am just getting frustrated . It's probably something really simple, but I can't seem to get it.
Also, apparantly my cd burner is not "compatable" (Go figure!)
I have used alcohol, and had no problem burning at all, but this program says I don't have a karaoke readable or writable drive. Why would it work with another program and not this one? Does that have anything to do with why I can't get the player to work, even though I am playing from my hard drive and not a disk??????
HELLLLLLPPPPPP!!!!!!
